This is a video of presentation I made at the Ignite Budapest launch event, held on May 28. The subject of my presentation is Gypsy Social Networking. What made this tricky is the Ignite format; The slides advanced automatically every 15 seconds, which meant that my timing had to be perfect (and it clearly wasn’t).
You might well ask why I am qualified to speak on the subject of Gypsy social networking. The answer is contained in the logo on the right-hand side of the screen. I am involved in developing and marketing a social networking website, Kaskosan.com, which is primarily intended as a place for Roma to meet each other, socialize and share their culture. Our main focus is entertainment and music. As you’ll see in the video, below, this is the subject of my presentation.
This post – the video and the logo – might easily be interpreted as blatant self-promotion. Which it IS. But isn’t that somehow wrong, you might ask? The answer – as I will explain after the page break – is that it depends entirely on how you go about it.
