Please join us at an interregional conference on ICT clustering in CENTROPE

On Thursday, April 2, my colleagues and I at the Pannon Business Network are hosting an international conference on ICT clustering in Győr, Hungary. We are organizing this meeting in parallel with the CENTROPE ICT Cluster Match brokerage event.

The conference will provide a stage for discussion and cooperation among ICT companies and institutions in CENTROPE. (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria). Our aim is to enhance network development among relevant stakeholders in this region and to create a platform for ICT cluster cooperation.

We look forward to seeing other nowEurope readers and contributors at the event! Feel free to share your experiences of the conference here at nowEurope, by adding your comments to this post.

I couldn't make it to this meeting today, but I wish you all a productive meeting. Do let us know how it goes here in the comments.

Altogether 50 persons accepted our invitation and most of them arrived to Győr. I found the conference very fruitful, especially the round table discussion in the afternoon session about the problems, challanges and opportunities of ICT clustering in CENTROPE.
I'm eagerly waiting for your comments about the event.
  • I was there and it was pretty well organised an a good and interesting programme. Thank you!
  • In general I can say the same (as Bernhard). Only exception: It was a challenge to attend the matchmakings and the conference at the same time.

It would be wise to continue in discussion related to clusters and networks. We would like to organize a workshop - really working one - focused to cross-border clustering and networking and get more responses also from non CITT partners - e.g. SME´s and universities.
  • Well, I gues event was fine, regardless impact did not reflect fully the work invested into organizing. I was missing the message, resume, statement or recomendation, aproved by the atendies to responsible ministries and CENTROPE political structures about necessity of more focused support to the clusters in order to reach the benefits of clusters for society of all four countries.

i guess we only have one or two attempts in order to draw the attention of public institiution on us. therefore i am quite glad that we -yet- haven't formulated a statement or petition. At this point I see slightly differing perspectives, approaches and business models (see Robert's email). Now it is on us to really work hard on a convincing concept (and on a common basis).
