Recently the third version of the Regional Innovation Strategy of South Moravian Region was elaborated. It builds on the process which originated by establishing the South Moravian Innovation Centre in 2003 and where most of instruments have been focused on start ups and incubation.
In the new strategy, the region aims to set up instruments which will focus to better facilitate technology transfer from academia to companies e.g. by introducing innovation vouchers or by a technology accelerator fund.
Furthermore, the strategy will increase its effort to support highly qualified human resources e.g. by running a new programme called South Moravian Programme for Distinguished Researchers (SoMoPro) which will attract foreign researchers in order to increase its capacity and to better utilise investments in research infrastructures covered by structural funds e.g. CEITEC.
Moreover, events to internationalize environment will be organized such ICT brokerage or trade missions to world technology hot spots for local companies.
In the next weeks and months single projects of the strategy will be introduced here. I will be very grateful for any comments or recommendations to set up the projects more effectively.

Thanks Petr for joining us. Glad to see your post. There is no specific call, but I guess, we all would appreciate to get feedback from other countries or regions where similar public funded projects were launched. Were they successful or not? Why?
For example a seed fund for start-ups or innovation vouchers enabling companies to buy research capacities at universities they prefer.
Or in other way - what projects are currently the priority within the innovation strategy in your region?
