Introduction of the EU funds for candidate (and current member) states opens a new marketplace for consulting companies. Except of the commercial services in project development and management paid directly by clients the consulting companies can use a large number of EC supporting activities in various programmes where the information activities and large part of the marketing of the consulting company can be funded from.
Novitech, a.s. is one of the Slovak SMEs using these funds in form of supporting projects, which enable the introduction and development of commercial consulting services in form of ?preparatory activities? (database building, dissemination campaigns, information days and trainings).
Novitech, a.s. company is involved in Information Systems Project Management, Business Process Management, Application Software Development Using CASE Systems, Networking – LAN Design and Implementation, E-business System Integration and Development, Mobile Applications Development, Document Management, Intranet Applications Solutions. A reality consisting of 140 highly qualified employees working in the headquarters and six subsidiaries on country-wide important projects.
Novitech, a.s. has tarted its consultancy activities in EU programmes by launching its EU projects portal in 2003 with the aim of providing centralised up-to-date information point on EU funding possibilities for portal visitors and special services for registered clients (call updates, access to more information resources). Except of the information dissemination Novitech, a.s. provides training session for organisation interested in EU funding (proposal preparation, project management, financial and legal issues, etc.).
In order to receive an external funding for development of the consultancy business (except of the direct clients payments) Novitech, a.s. have participated in two specific support actions launched by the specific call for New Associated Countries (current New Member Countries of the EU) supporting their participation in the current Framework programme and preparation for the new one:
- PROPASS project (Technical assistance to Slovak SMEs in proposal preparation) is focused on preparation, training and technical support for Slovak SMEs in writing projects submitted within the scope of the FP6 through the information days, training workshops, e-learning modules and bonus consultancy hours for proposal preparation.
- SLOVAK FP6 (The support for participation of Slovak institution in FP6) is a project led by the (SARC Slovak agency for RTD support) focused on general support services in increasing the Slovak participation in FP6 (national assistance system at universities, database building, proposal development). Novitech, a.s. is responsible for the SME database building hosted at its EU portal.
